Cadillac Invite 9/24/23

Huron Cross Country made the trip up North to Cadillac once again this year for an overnight out-of-town competition. Weather was much improved from last year’s bitter cold conditions with sun and temperatures in the 60s during race times.

Huron Girls Cross Country brought home two medals with two PR’s. Avery Turk, running her first sub 20 of the season (19:42.1 PR), finished 9th overall, not only earning a medal but a top 10 t-shirt as well. Falyn Doss placing 19th with a PR of 20:37.0 moved from 18th to 11th on our All Time 5K leaderboard and earned a medal among the top 30. Kayla Christesen came in at 61st (23:08.6), Cecilia Evans 81st (24:42.4), Kirsten Perecki 89th (27:04.5), Savanna Rupnow 91st (28:24.4), Amelia Szawara 92nd (28:46.0), Julia Welch 93rd (28:53.4), Macy Bauman 94th (28:55.7).

Huron Boys Cross Country earned three medals and two additional PR’s. Lucas Kuhn leading the team had our top finish at 9th place (16:31.6) earning a t-shirt and medal for his top 10 performance. Abdul Ghennewa in 15th (16:52.0) and Luke Dulecki 26th (17:18.6) both earned medals placing in the top 30. Kyle Biller came in at 50th (18:23.9), Lucas Worrell 61st (18:51.9 PR), Cameron Crane 62nd (18:52.8), Louie Macon 70th (19:18.0), Tanner Kuhn 80th (20:07.7), Garrett Cheney 89th (21:17.3).
